Courses in Izmir and course description

Methodology and Language for Kindergarten Teachers
Energetic, talkative, fidgety! Does that describe your class? This course aims to focus on the needs of the Kindergarten teacher by combining language improvement with practical methodology. After attending this course, the participants will be more knowledgeable and competent teachers and more confident users of English.

Methodology and Language for Primary Teachers
The course is a language improvement and a methodology course for teachers of young learners who need to improve their ability and confidence in their use of English, develop their teaching skills and extend range of activities for young learners.

Methodology and Language for Secondary Teachers
This course will give you an opportunity to improve your own English while at the same time offering you a range of options for teaching secondary school learners more effectively. You will also be encouraged to re-assess your 'teacher beliefs and attitudes' in the light of current trends in methodology.

Creative Methodology for the Classroom
If you are an experienced EFL or any other subject teacher who wants to participate in a course which will both widen your range of teaching options and promote your own creative abilities, this course will energise you and help you put life into course book and develop learner autonomy.

CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) for Primary
This course aims to equip the participants with the expertise and skills necessary to teach a subject to learners (age 7-12) through English. Participants will be more confident and more at ease dealing with the various challenges that teaching a subject through English presents.

CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) for Universities
The aim of this course is to help you gain expertise and confidence in your ability to deliver CLIL courses in English at tertiary level. Participants will be encouraged to develop materials on a topic related to their teaching subject, so that they can focus on their specific needs.

How to be a Teacher Trainer
You will examine the major differences between language teaching and teacher training, investigate different ways of planning and presenting sessions and enhance your "people skills." By the end of the course you will have covered key areas necessary to feel more confident as a trainer.

Teachers as Leaders
Teachers tend not to think of themselves as leaders but increasingly they are having to play a leadership role in the lives of students. As a result of attending this course, the participants will be more aware of the wider influence of their role as teachers in the lives of their students and this will increase their motivation and effectiveness.

Introduction to ICT: Using Mobile Technology
This course will enable you to develop practical skills for using mobile technology in your teaching. You will thus learn how to bring magic into your class and the use of mobile technology will give your students the incentive to participate in the lesson by engaging them more fully.

Introduction to ICT: Collaborative Learning
Participants will have a greater awareness of the online tools that can support learning in their educational context and will look at harnessing the power of collaborative learning through a number of activity types. All the issues will be looked at from the point of view of empowering our students, who usually know how to use computers/Internet tools for playing games but not for learning.

Introduction to ICT: Interactive Whiteboards
This course has been designed to help teachers with basic computer skills learn how to use a variety of free applications for educational purposes as well as using the main tools of IWB software programmes with confidence. The focus will be on integrating technology to enrich lessons and to extend learning beyond normal contact hours.

Introduction to ICT: Using Technology with University Students
At the end of the course, you will able to use educational technology with university students more effectively to focus on all the skills. You will able to design lessons using Web 2.0 tools and implement the practical ideas into your own classes with a greater awareness.
